Long ago I was given advice on how to make a living as a photographer - only shoot weddings, bar mitzvah’s, and head shots. Realized rather quickly if that were the case, I would rather give up photography than pursue those areas of ‘imaging income.’ When it comes to capturing people, my personal preference is a bit more free wheeling. I like embracing a locality with whomever I’m focused upon, taking advantage of surroundings with as relaxed an atmosphere as possible. If I can capture someone(s) doing activities they’re interested in, so much the better.
